Circular Week is an international campaign which will consist series of events and initiatives devoted to the subject of circular economy and sustainable development that will take place throughout Europe. The Circular Week’s goal is to promote the idea of a circular economy, support sustainable business models and establish cooperation between interested stakeholders.
Main goal of the initiative is to involve as many people, entities and institutions as possible in promoting and implementing circular economy concept. Everyone can become a co-organizer of International Circular Week. Grassroots initiative could take the form of e.g. goods exchange platforms, educational workshops, seminars, food sharing events or online webinars.
The initiative is supported by numerous Embassies to show how broad it is the concept of circular economy and how much rely on collaboration and knowledge sharing. Each involved Embassy - Embassy of Netherlands, Embassy of Finland, Embassy of Austria, Embassy of Switzerland, Embassy of Sweden will organize educational event relevant to the topic of their most interest.
Any entity which would like to be a co-organizer and a partner of circular week can submit their own event on the circular map. INNOWO as main coordinator of the project will gather all initiatives, place it on the online platform of events and in the calendar available to the public and support them in promoting these events.
On the last working day of the Circular Week, which will be 16 October 2020, the focal point of the WEEK, International Circular Economy Mazovia Summit in Warsaw, will be held. This event is one of the biggest and most prestigious conference in Poland on circular economy. This event is targeted to public administration, local municipalities, companies, CSR, sustainable managers, local administration, start-ups and media. During the conference international case studies will be presented with recommendations and discussions on possible implementation of similar projects in Poland. We also expect panel discussions of different groups of stakeholders (businesses, administration, NGOs) on how to profit from circular solutions.
