Three hundred and sixty-five processed capsules give about 28 dag aluminum - that's enough to build one bicycle frame. The Swedish startup VÉLOSOPHY decided to create a bike from recycled Nespresso coffee capsules. As the originator Jimmy Östholm says, the biggest challenge in the design of the bike was to convert lightweight aluminum into an alloy that will meet the safety standards in the design of the bike.

Nespresso is constantly looking for ways to make changes for the better. Currently, the Nespresso recycling program covers 39 countries. Used capsules can be returned to a Nespresso point or given to a courier on your next order. Pens and chairs were also made from processed capsules.
